SumQ ("we", "us", or "our") operates sumq.in. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
API keys: API keys you enter (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) are stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. They are never transmitted to our servers or stored in any database. They are sent directly from your browser to the respective AI provider's API.
Google sign-in: If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. This is used solely to identify your account session.
Queries: Search queries are processed in real time to retrieve results. We do not log or store the content of your queries.
Analytics: We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (page views, feature usage) to improve the product. No personally identifiable information is included.
SumQ routes queries to third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) and search providers (Brave Search, DuckDuckGo, Tavily, Exa). Your use of these services is subject to their respective privacy policies. We are not responsible for how these third parties handle your data.
We do not store query content. API keys live in your browser and are deleted when you click "Remove" or clear your browser data. Session data from Google sign-in is retained until you sign out.
You may delete all locally stored data by clearing your browser's localStorage or using the "Remove" button in Settings. For any data held in connection with your Google sign-in, contact us at saket.s0308@gmail.com.

SumQ is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. You should independently verify any information before relying on it for important decisions.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SumQ and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of SumQ after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

Search results, news articles, and web content retrieved by SumQ's search layer belong to their respective publishers and copyright holders. SumQ displays brief snippets for informational purposes under fair use principles. All cited sources are attributed with a link to the original content.
